The homeowners noticed a stair-step crack above one corner of the foundation, doors that stuck in damp weather, and a floor starting to slope. Our inspection found the footing was sinking into soft, wet clay.
Instead of patching the wall, we traced the cause: poor drainage was saturating the soil under that corner. We stabilised the footing with steel push piers driven to solid ground, lifted the corner back toward level, and corrected the drainage so the problem wouldn’t return.
