About Me
I’m DoLaste-Nicke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over three decades of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges through therapy rooted in both clinical excellence and biblical principles.
I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Baylor University and an M.S.W. from the University of Houston, with additional theological studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary. I’m certified by the State of Texas as a clinical supervisor and supervisor trainer, and I teach psychotherapy practice courses at the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work.
My specialty is working with adults and adolescents, with a focus on psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and value-guided action. I believe therapy should align with one’s faith and values, offering both healing and direction.
Outside of my work, I’ve been married to my wife, Lotus, for 36 years. We have a daughter, three wonderful grandchildren, and two dogs. In my downtime, I enjoy motorcycling, good books, and time with close friends.
